The DW-9501HH was released
February 1999, together with the DWM-101 models. The complete series
was called Tough Label Hip Hop Series, the DW-9501HH version were so called
Old School versions, the DW-101 were called the New School versions. There is a Bordeaux red one, my favorite color, it is called the Glowing Fan in Germany, there is a gold/bronze version, called Soundcheck and there is the more girlish turquoise blue version, called Body-Shaker. |

release: OLD SCHOOL MODEL OLD SCHOOL is a street culture that got its start in the New York Bronx during the late 1970s. Initially a totally new culture among Dj's, rappers, dancers and graffiti artists, it soon gained worldwide popularity as the hip hop culture. Typical of early hip hop fashions were loud gold necklaces, gold rings and flash styles, which is why two light color shades are used for the Old School models. Representative of the Old School sound are Sugar Hill and the Def Jam record label. |
