The Cosmoxer Story
One of the first G-Shocks I wanted to have, as soon as I was able to surf on the Internet was a G-Shock I found on a Dutch watch site. The colors of the picture were not that good, so I assumed that this watch was black. When I contacted the Jeweler selling this watch, it appeared that this was an old picture, and that the watch was sold a long time ago.
I found a similar G-Shock on the website of "Megatime" in Germany. It was called "Heavenly High". A week later I got my watch. I found out that this watch wasn't black at all, but Navy-blue. I was happy with my new G-Shock, but I wanted a black version.
On a other German website I found the Black version, called "Cosmoxer". There was also the "Heavenly High", and a white version, called "Smokey Sunset". As soon as I got the money for the "Cosmoxer" I ordered one, and about a week later I got a package. The bill showed that I had purchased a "Cosmoxer", but when I opened the hexagonal box, I found a "Smokey Sunset", the white variation.
At the same time I discovered worldwide internet auctions, which was a less expensive way to purchase all kinds of G-Shocks from all over the world. Sometimes I found a "Cosmoxer", but they were wanted, or I found just another special G-Shock. For a long time I even "couldn't find a "Cosmoxer", until in may 2003. I found an auction of one. After a week of waiting and bidding, I won! After two and a half year, I finally got my long wanted black version of the DW-9005, the "Cosmoxer".
