In Japan the Frogman is one
of the most loved G-Shock types amongst collectors.
The first G-Shock of the Frogman
design was the
DW-6300,
released in 1993. It didn't had the name on the case, but it was soon
nicknamed Frogman.
It was followed up in 1995 by the
DW-8200 Frogman
in the "Masters of G" series.
The next
generation Frogman was the
DW-9900 was
introduced in 1999. It has
the "Frogman" text on the right.
The Seaman (DW-9950)
is the slightly different overseas version of this Frogman model.
In 2001 the
Tough Solar GW-200 was released (not all models are solar).
It took until 2009 before Casio
released a new Atomic Frogman version, the GWF-1000.
It's a quite expensive model, but I have one, the Men In Burning Red
GWF-1000RD-4JF.
In 2010 Casio came with a non-Atomic variant, the
GF-8250-9JF, which was a tribute
to the
DW-8250Y-9T. |
